Hi, all -
I should have thought of this sooner, but I didn't, so here it is:
Authors, when you send a fic to be beta'd or vetted, please include your full header, complete with warnings. We all have our hot-button issues, and I'd rather be safe than sorry in having something be trigger-y to any of our members, betas, vetters, etc.
God knows I have my own automatic stoppers in fic, and I know how it feels to read something without a warning and run into one of them (I still have icky feelings about one, and it was a year ago). I never even thought to tell authors to give their beta/vetter the same sort of heads-up.
I know that we'll forget from time to time, so I'm also asking betas/vetters to feel free to contact an author if you get a fic without warnings and ask for that information.
Really, duh!, porn. There are definitley porn themes that cross some personal lines, and I don't want anyone to get blindsided. I really should have thought of it sooner.
Thanks, guys - we have to look out for each other, yeah?

Congratulations all on a job well done! Your scripts were made into a fantastic series of short films for the web, and our actors and crew were all thrilled to have such wonderful words and directions to work with. Additionally, the graphics produced were gorgeous. It is truly inspiring to have such incredible resouces at hand.
We will keep the area on the site for "Men In Uniform" short films open, so feel free to contribute scripts at any time.
Management is happy to provide you with the challenge of our next series of scripts: "Romantic Moments." We'd like to see stories that center on our gentlemen (and don't forget the ladies!) and their gentler side. We want to see what you can come up with to illustrate the ways our guys and girls figure out to keep the romance alive in their own lives and onscreen. We expect this section of web films to be very popular. Hey, who doesn't like romance? Don't feel that you have to confine yourselves to fluff - romance can mean a lot of different things, and our guys and gals have been through a lot to find their way together. Sometimes the journey is the most interesting part.
Script submissions should be handed in around the end of the month.

Elizabeth, Laura and Teyla have decided that since the short films for the website were such a rousing success that they want to make some more. Since the last group was old-skool setups, they want to use "Men in Uniform" as the theme for the new batch.
Your challenge?
Put our boys (any pairing) into a short film. The story doesn't have to be just about the action onscreen - you can show us the wind-up as well as the pitch. The women of GPFG are looking for sexy firemen, hot soccer players, gorgeous military men, hell, pizza delivery guys or whatever - there just has to be a uniform involved.
This challenge will remain open until June 30th, but feel free to post before that! As always, there are no restrictions on anything - timeline, established relationships, posting in your own journal, whatever.
How about some MENSA AU? Some more of the Colonel and the Physicist? EMTs? Nurses?
